Local News Oct 5, 2023 PORTAGE TOWNSHIP — A Chassell man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Portage Township Wednesday afternoon. The crash occurred on Broemer Road at Paradise Road around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The 79-year-old man was towing his boat to storage when he lost control of his vehicle after failing to observe the stop sign at the intersection, the Houghton County Sheriff's Office said in a release. Crossing Paradise Road, he was hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Ironwood man.
