KALAMAZOO, MI – It was a cold, heavily precipitated fall Friday night around Southwest Michigan, with nearly all 24 games dealing with the elements of Mother Nature. That catered to some teams more than others, especially those with a priority of running the football. Portage Central delivered perhaps the upset of the evening, taking down No. 7-ranked Portage Northern in one of the most highly anticipated cross-town rivalries of recent memory.
