PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, MI— A Chassell man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Portage Township Wednesday. The Houghton County Sheriff's Office was dispatched around 1:50 p.m. to the intersection of Broemer and Paradise roads. Deputies say a 79-year-old Chassell resident was towing his boat to storage when he lost control of his vehicle. He ran the stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Ironwood man. The Chassell man was taken to UPHS-Portage for treatment of minor injuries.
