PORTAGE, MI -- Anyone who goes inside Lake Effect's new retail dispensary location to make a purchase of $100 or more during the grand opening can enter for a chance to win free cannabis for life, co-founder Jevin Weyenberg said.Lake Effect has opened its second Kalamazoo County location, at 5216 S. Westnedge Ave. in Portage, offering a drive-thru and 24/7 sales.The grand opening is planned, with deals and giveaways starting at 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20.Lake Effect is Kalamazoo County's oldest dispensary brand, which started operating in 2015, years before the state created licenses for medical establishments and adult use dispensaries.
