GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI -- Emergency responders from multiple departments rescued a snowmobiler who fell through the ice on Big Manistique Lake in the Upper Peninsula on Monday morning. According to the Garfield Township Volunteer Fire Department in Mackinac County , crews were requested for mutual aid after the Portage Township department received a call for an ice rescue. The snowmobiler was on Big Manistique Lake around 1 a.m. when the vehicle and the driver fell through and the driver was unable to get out.
