PORTAGE, MI – The Secretary of State office in Portage is closing for a week.A remodeling project will have the office at 603 Romence Road closed from the end of the day Friday, Jan. 13 and reopen Monday, Jan. 23, a news release said.The office will not reopen Tuesday, Jan. 17, unlike other SOS offices.Carpet will be replaced throughout the Portage office, the release said.Most SOS services can be done online, the release said. The Kalamazoo SOS office, 3298 Stadium Dr., and the Battle Creek Office, 5420 Beckley Road, are open normal hours.
