Upper Great Lakes News, Music, and Arts & Culture On Air Now Playing Listen Online PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, MI— A woman was badly injured in a two-vehicle accident in Houghton County Tuesday.It happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Paradise Road and Broemer Road in Portage Township.Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post responded and found a female driver trapped in her vehicle. Hurontown Fire and Rescue was called in and extracted the woman with the Jaws of Life.She was taken to UPHS-Portage, where she remains in critical condition.
