PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -A longtime area business professional and former board member has been selected as the newest member of the Portage Public Schools Board of Education. At their meeting Monday night, the board selected Keith Crowell to serve the remainder of the term left open when former trustee Kurt Droppers retired from the Board last month. He will serve out the remainder of the term ending on December 31, 2024. Crowell was previously appointed in January 2021 to serve the remainder of the term left open with the passing of Trustee Joanne Willson on December 9, 2020.
